Transfer Deadline day is finally past us. Deadline day has the most down to the wire drama that some fans love, and some absolutely hate. That being said, it is that time of the year where writers like myself have the honor of sitting in front of a computer screen all day long to keep up to date with the latest transfer dealings. The first transfer that looks to be finishing up even before I finish writing this article is the somewhat out of nowhere deal of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Liverpool.
The winger who is affectionately known as “Ox”, has been a mainstay and a player Arsenal has relied on for the last five seasons as he has attempted to go from a player with potential for a bright future to a star. Now, he has not quite become that star many pundits and fans thought he would become, but he has become a player that can make a team better and could even prove deadly in the right system. Ox is a player that can thrive under Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

Jurgen Klopp is a manager that loves to go on the attack and is fantastic at getting the best out of his players. With Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah on the wings already, it will be interesting to see where Ox plays at for the Red Birds this season. The worst-case scenario is that he will provide ultimate depth on the right side for Salah or Mane, but I personally see him as a week in and week out player. Ox seems like a player that could be perfect to use on the right side of the midfield that can make overlapping runs off of the wings.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is only 24 years old and still has the potential to become a star for club and country, and the manager to get him to the next level is Jurgen Klopp. The Liverpool boss can experiment on where he wants to use Oxlade-Chamberlain in the attack to find the best fit for him. Ox looks set to become the latest player that can cause damage in the EPL against former club Arsenal. Arsenal has famously become a club that sells most of their top player to rivals in the EPL because the player wants to leave.
Ox is an English player so of course his fee will be higher simply because of that. Arsenal has agreed to sell him to Liverpool for 35 million pounds. Arsenal had stated that they would like to use him as an attacking midfielder which could see him become a player that can be like a Dele Alli type if he moves to the central part of the field. Ox will earn around 120,000 pounds a week plus some win bonuses and loyalty bonuses for how long he ends up staying at the club. Ox signed a six-year contract.
