The Mexico national team takes on Honduras on Thursday, June 8, before taking on the USA on June 11 in Estadio Azteca. However, there’s some news buzzing around some other Mexicans.
Take a look at what’s going on in the world of Mexican football…
Mexico is eliminated in quarterfinals of U20 World Cup
After defeating Senegal with a late minute goal, the Mexican U-20 were off to face England in the U-20 quarterfinals. Similar to the trend of the other matches, Mexico’s offense was very slow to get going, so much so that they couldn’t get on the board before England.
Mexico got a great advantage with 20 minutes to go after England received a red card. Despite being up a man, Mexico just couldn’t connect for that equalizing goal, eliminating them from the tournament.

Carlos Peña, midfielder, will be leaving Club León, while forward Herrera will be departing form Veracruz. It has been confirmed the two players were purchased for 4 million Euro’s, as they head over to help Rangers in their hunt for a title.
