Mexico: The World Cup Kit Has Arrived

When Mexico took the pitch against Belgium on Friday, there was one thing that was noticeably different: The kit. It was the first time Mexico has worn their new 2018 World Cup home green kit.

Mexico debuted in their new clean green style. The jersey offers a v-neck collar with a traditional green, accompanied by three contrasting green stripes on the sides of the core. A design inspired by the early 90’s, it’s a jersey which looks good on or off the field.

Staying true to kits from the past, the back of the neck has “Soy México” in white writing which means “I am Mexico.” A slogan which brings the players and fans together, as one combined unit in hopes of something big in Russia.

Gone are the days of the recent “out of the ordinary” look. This time around, adidas and Mexico will be heading to Russia with a look that will certainly be remembered by fans with positivity. Because nothing honors the past more than bringing it to the present day.
