Real Madrid clinched a hard-fought 2-1 win over Deportivo Alaves thanks to a first-half double from Dani Ceballos.
Dani Ceballos scored twice on his first league start for Real Madrid as they beat La Liga strugglers Alaves 2-1.
The midfielder joined Los Blancos in what seems like the bargain of the season with his €18 million move from Real Betis following his outstanding summer performances that earned him the player of the tournament award at the 2017 Under-21 European Championships in Poland.
The 21-year-old held off two defenders before striking home for his first after just 10 minutes.

Alaves, who came into the game without a point or a goal this season, then equalised through Manu Garcia’s header on 40 minutes.

But just before the half-time whistle Ceballos struck again to give Real a second with a strike from 18 yards.
Alaves were unlucky not to equalise when Alfonso Pedraza’s deflected shot beat Keylor Navas but bounced back off the bar.
And Pedraza again went close striking the keeper’s right-hand upright just moments later.
Real captain Sergio Ramos had an opportunity to put the game to bed but missed an open goal from eight yards and saw a header ruled out.
Real Madrid have now won a club-record 12 consecutive away games in LaLiga.

The win moves Real up to fourth in the table but they could be leapfrogged by Valencia, Levante, Real Sociedad and Real Betis by the end of the game week.
