Dominic Solanke Sign With Liverpool

Chelsea are known for having one of nicest club systems in the entire world and a player like Dominic Solanke seems to slip out from underneath the blues noses every year. Solanke just signed for Liverpool following his contract expiry on July 1.

Solanke spent last season at Vitesse where he made 25 appearances and scored 7 goals. This season he spent time with Chelsea’s youth team and made an impact but nothing that can be noted as being crazy. Chelsea are due to make around 3 million pounds for their development of the player and will pocket that money with ease for a departing player. May I remind you that Solanke is only 19 years old and has the best years of his career ahead of him.

Liverpool are a club looking to get younger and younger under manager Jurgen Klopp who loved to utilize young players and develop them from within the club. Solanke may not be from within the club, but at only 19 years of age, he could be a huge asset to have at striker down the road and possibly even for the upcoming season.

Solanke is one of those players who could easily be a bust or end up being a Lukaku type of player where he ends up becoming a huge name player and Chelsea end up buying him back two years later for some outrageous fee. I personaly belive he will be the type of player that makes Chelsea regret letting him go but he could easily be a player that we see hovering around the Championship and Premier League line for years to come.

Solanke is looking to have a fresh start to his career and he went somewhere where he can make an impact and somewhere he can potentially become a long-term striker in the Premier League for Liverpool. I think going forward we could see a team that has Divock Origi and Solanke leading the line and I think every single Liverpool fan will be good with that idea.
