The Stoppage Time continues its coverage the 2015 Major League Soccer offseason and 2016 preseason with some ins and out for Bruce Arena‘s Los Angeles Galaxy. Defender Robbie Rogers was nominated for GQ’s most stylish man of 2015. He is in a 64-man bracket and you can vote for him to beat Prince Harry of the United Kingdom by clicking on this link.

Meanwhile, former Galaxy swingman David Beckham (if you don’t know who Beckham is, just remember that we do see through lies here at The Stoppage Time as a courtesy) was engaged in a lightsaber duel with John Boyega of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” Check it out here. This was part of the Graham Norton show.

Baggio Husidic is now a married man, after marrying his longtime girlfriend Fay in Chicago. The Stoppage Time would like to congratulate Baggio and Fay Husidic on their marriage and hope that their children will grow up to be stars in the game of soccer years on down the road.

Also in the news is another former LA Galaxy II defender. Daniel Steres, who also spent time at the Wilmington Hammerheads of the USL, has now signed with the Galaxy first team and joins Dave Romney and Clement Diop as Galaxy II players that have signed MLS contracts. From the LA Galaxy website…

“Daniel has been an important part of LA Galaxy II’s success during the past two seasons,” said LA Galaxy Head Coach and General Manager Bruce Arena. “He has continued developing while earning meaningful and consistent minutes in USL. We look forward to his contributions to our team.”

Steres, 25, captained LA Galaxy II in 2015 and was a mainstay in the Los Dos defense for the second straight season, starting in 24 matches – the most of any Galaxy II defender – while adding two goals in regular season play. The Calabasas, California, product started in all four of Galaxy II’s USL Playoff matches, leading the team to the 2015 USL Championship. He earned the LA Galaxy II Defender of the Year award for the second-straight year. In 2015, Steres also made first-team appearances for the LA Galaxy during the International Champions Cup in matches against FC Barcelona and Club America.
