LAFC: “The 3252” Is Born

The legend continues to grow surrounding LAFC who is yet to play in it’s inaugural season in the MLS. That honor is reserved for March 2018 in the new, state of the art Banc of California Stadium.

However, in the “Black & Gold” rally on Saturday organized by the LAFC supporters groups, “The 3252” was born. The 3252 presents the supporters union that all LAFC supporters groups will align under. This section has 3,252 seats that will house these groups. Mathematically 3+2+5+2=12 to which the fans have recently famously dubbed themselves the “12th” man across the NFL and now the MLS.

Winston Churchill once said “We shape our buildings, and afterwards our buildings shape us.” Churchill was eluding to the House of Commons which had been badly damaged during WWII. The Banc of California Stadium is also being re-built and with the announcement of the new supporters section, it looks like the building is beginning to shape it’s people.

Ticket pricing for this section was also announced at $20 per game. There was singing, there was chanting, there was excitement in the air. Especially exciting was the news that this section would be a “safe standing” section similar to Orlando City’s stadium. Allowing the supporters to stand in front of their seats the entire game or sit for a rest and move freely as they chant “Shoulder-to-Shoulder”.

The 3252 houses the following LAFC supporters groups: Black Army 1850, Cuervos, District 9 Ultras, Expo Originals, Lucky Boys, and Relentless. With this kind of buzz, more groups are sure to follow.

There is a new virtual tour of the stadium and new virtual images that can be seen here. To tie the event together President and Owner Tom Penn and Lead Managing Owner Larry Berg joined the rally and announced their inclusion in the 3252 club.

Last but not least, what would be an LAFC event without the famous Will Ferrell making an appearance? He joined the rally via video and announced his excitement to join the 3252 group; even donning the newest 3252 t-shirt.

LAFC supporters are hoping to make the 3252 the biggest, the baddest, the loudest supporters section in all of MLS come next year!
