Ligue 1: Is Kylian Mbappe Heading To Paris Saint-Germain After All?

Paris Saint-Germain fans have every reason to be on red alert in the closing days of the transfer window regarding Kylian Mbappe. The ongoing saga regarding the youngster goes on, with Mbappe being disciplined by manager Leonardo Jardim for a training altercation with Andrea Raggi at La Turbie, AS Monaco’s main training facility. This is based on an inside scoop from L’Equipe.

With Real Madrid opting to look elsewhere, the 18-year-old is a literal wantaway that failed to feature for the second straight league outing. Monaco defeated FC Metz 1-0 on a Radamel Falcao goal to remain unbeaten through three matches. Paris Saint-Germain meanwhile thrashed Toulouse 6-2 and could be on the verge off adding more firepower, via Sky Sports:

Paris Saint-Germain are in talks with Monaco over a season-long loan deal for Kylian Mbappe with an agreement to buy the striker next summer, according to Sky sources.

In the French capital, at least one player has been sold to offset the purchase of Neymar in Blaise Matuidi, and others such as Julian Draxler and Marco Verratti could be shipped out as well. There was talk that Javier Pastore would be sent to Monaco to offset the acquisition of Mbappe but the Argentinean has recently committed to the Parisians, dismissing such claims.

PSG have brushed aside reports that a £140m bid for Mbappe had been tabled, but this club remains the primary destination, as Mbappe is a Parisian by birth. He was also a target for Arsenal and Barcelona but both teams have dropped out of the race recently. To conclude, it will not be surprising if a move is signed, sealed and delivered by the end of the window as it looks to all but be the end of the line for Kylian Mbappe at the Principality.

Mbappe scored 26 goals and delivered eight assists for the Ligue 1-winning Monaco side.
