Morgan Schneiderlin Shines for Manchester United

The two week break for the international matches are over and Manchester United did a stunning job putting their last match against Arsenal behind them. That loss to the Gunners had many critics asking as to why Louis Van Gaal left his best midfield option out of that 3-0 loss at the Emirates Stadium, Morgan Schneiderlin.

Schneiderlin was missed against Arsenal as the Red Devils attempted to press the gunners high up the pitch. The Red Devils were silly out ran on the pitch by Arsenal, Schweinsteiger and Carrick had a difficult time maintaining a presence in the midfield. Saturday’s match against Everton saw Schneiderlin start next to Schweinsteiger in the midfield. The United midfielder made his presence felt in the Red Devil’s thrashing of Everton. Schneiderlin was all over the pitch making tackles to halt the Toffees when they attempted to break the Manchester United midfield. The former Southampton midfielder was the first to score in his sides’ recent 3-0 victory at Goodison Park in the 18th minute. Morgan Schneiderlin has definitely shined for Manchester United since his acquisition in the summer. After today’s performance Morgan should have cemented his position as a starter in that Red Devils midfield.

Morgan played the entire 90 minutes for Manchester United against Everton and knowing Louis Van Gaal he will more than likely cycle the midfield General out for Carrick and or Bastian on Wednesday when the Red Devils travel to Moscow to play against CSKA Moscow in the UEFA Champions League.

Perhaps Louis Van Gaal has decided ahead of time to save his strongest and most effective midfielder not for the Champions League, but instead for the much anticipated Manchester Derby on October 25.
