The Rossoneri On The Resurgence

AC Milan look to be on the rebound tallying back-to-back wins in Italy‘s Serie A. The Rossoneri scored twice at the Stadio Renza Barbera in Palermo Sicily to defeat their hosts, Palermo. In-form Colombian forward Carlos Bacca scored his 12th goal in Serie A for head coach Siniša Mihajlović.

Carlos Bacca met Ignazio Abate‘s low cross inside the Palermo penalty box inside the 19th minute to give the Rossoneri the lead in Sicily. Milan scored their second goal from the penalty spot after a soft handball by Italian defender Edoardo Goldaniga. The young French forward Mbaye Niang stepped up and blasted a fantastic penalty pass Palermo goalkeeper Stefano Sorrentino.

Palermo’s veteran striker Alberto Gilardino missed a great opportunity for the hosts shortly before the halftime whistle. Carlos Bacca and Juraj Kucka missed chances to give the Rossoneri a three-goal lead against their hosts.

AC Milan has been able to keep two clean sheets in a row after defeating the city, Inter Milan, rivals in the Derbi della Madonnina. Siniša Mihajlović only made one change in this match, which he opted to play Cristian Zapata instead of Brazilian Alex in defense. The wonder teen goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma made his 14th appearance for the Rossoneri.

Mbaye Niang finally has scored in back to back Serie A matches for the first time in his young career. The Rossoneri remain unbeaten this season when they take the lead in their matches, with a 11 win and three draw record when they score first. Palermo unfortunately have lost a whopping total 34 matches against AC Milan more than any other opponent in Serie A.
