Santos Laguna vs Cruz Azul (April 16)

This may be the most intriguing match of the weekend between two teams poised for a playoff spot. They are, however, only separated by two points (Santos 21, Cruz Azul 19). Although the Liga MX playoffs rarely have a huge impact with the seeding, it would be nice for Cruz Azul to improve its standing, while Santos Laguna would love to separate itself more.

Either way, these two have been having a good season, and they may even have a deep push in the playoffs when the time comes. That is why this matchup is one for fans to catch…

Morelia has quietly found itself into the 7th spot in the table, but up next is a dangerous Pachuca side that threaten their stay in the table.

Pachuca is heading into this match coming off a 2-1 victory over Tigres. A win that was huge for Pachuca, and bumped Tigres out of the playoff picture.

Morelia is on a nice two-game win streak and would love to continue that against one of the leagues powerhouses.

Altas vs Chivas (April 17)

Now, Atlas is not in the playoff hunt, and in fact, they have had a pretty poor season. But, whenever Atlas and Chivas face-off, it’s going to be a classic battle of the teams from Guadalajara.

Chivas has had a great surge over the past few weeks and now sit at 8th in the table. Something that many did not think could happen, but they indeed turned things around. Atlas, on the other hand, would love to beat a rival and get out of last place in the league.

It’ll be the final game of the week, and what better way than having a clásico?
