Three Liga MX Games to Watch (Jan. 29-31)

We are heading into the fourth week of Liga MX action this year, and here are the three games all Mexican league fans should pay attention to!

Santos Laguna vs Querétaro (January 29)

Both Querétaro and Santos Laguna are coming into Fridays game with a win from the previous week. Santos Laguna was able to handle Xolos, 3-1, while Querétaro dismantled Dorados, 3-0.

Both teams are riding in the table, so expect the offense firework show to continue on Friday night.

Santos currently sit at 4th in the table, and Querétaro at 12th.

Monterrey vs Pachuca (January 30)

Pachuca is coming of a spectacular drubbing of Club América, 4-1. The confidence the Tuzos have is at an all-time high, while Monterrey was able to sneak by Atlas, 1-0. Here is another game where both teams seem to be hitting a rhythm, which sets up a great duel on Saturday.

Club León vs Tigres (January 30)*

Little did people expect Club León to take the reigns of the table, but after three matches they sit on top. Tigres will be looking for a chance to redeem themselves after a 2-2 draw with Chivas in the previous week.

This is an interesting matchup between two teams that have seen recent success in the Mexican league. This is why it is my “must see” game of the week!
