It has been a very hectic and somewhat unfortunate couple of days (or even weeks) for Miguel Herrera’s Club America. Here is a rundown of the last couple of days.
It took 3030 days for Guillermo Ochoa’s return and debut with Club America.
With a 1-1 result at Estadio Universitario, las Aguilas sealed a very hard-fought draw, despite every injury the team has suffered in addition to every absence (player transfers) that Club America had. Club America is still the only unbeaten team of the league and have the best defense so far.
With the signing of Richard Sanchez, America has started the new-look team, due to injuries and selling key players such as Agustin Marchesin, Mateus Uribe and Edson Álvarez.

The 23-year-old Paraguayan player signed for five years and a transfer rounding in $10-million dollars coming from Olimpia, one of the most well-known teams in Paraguay.
America has started looking for a new center forward and a centre back, because of Nico Castillo’s injury which will take him reportedly three months to recover. Also center back help is needed to supplant Bruno Valdez and Emmanuel Aguilera’s absences due to injuries.
Herrera is hopeful with the new signing and the upcoming players that are going to hopefully arrive soon at the nest.
