The US Soccer team received some new kits today in the form of a midnight release of the brand new all red third kit. The kit has been released ahead of a busy summer for both the Men and Women’s national teams with the Gold Cup for men and the SheBelieves Cup for the women.
The new kits will be worn in the next matches for both the men and women’s teams as it’s always nice to rock some brand new gear as soon as you get it in hand. The Women’s National Team will be debuting the kits March 1-7 in the SheBelieves Cup and the Men’s National Team will debut the kit on March 24 in a huge World Cup Qualifying match against Honduras.
The two-tone #RedToToe colorway on the latest kit has a brighter red body that is based off of the Red found on the American Flag. The sleeves are more of a maroon color to add some contrast while keeping a red-out vibe. The Nike Swoosh is white, as well as the US Soccer logo above the heart is white and red. A black line goes around the neck and down the sides of the jersey and shorts.
The shorts have the White and Red US Soccer logo on the right leg and the white Nike Swoosh is on the left leg. The Women’s will feature the World Cup Champion patch in the middle of the chest. The Women’s kit will also feature the three white stars on top of the US Soccer logo.
On the top end AeroSwift jerseys, there is a series of ventilated areas around key areas that will keep any player cool in the hot sun. On the back of neck there is a USA tag to show whose jersey this is. Under the sleeves there is “ 1 Nation” and “1 Team” On the bottom right of the jersey is the Authentic tag from Nike.
Nike and US Soccer have created a jersey that will give a new look to the US Soccer National team. Whether you are a fan or not of the new third kit, it is refreshing to see a new kit for our country’s team. The Red jersey look is certainly a better look than the black one the teams normally wear during away matches. Hopefully we can see this jersey in action more often and hopefully will be a bit of good luck for the U.S. in some crucial matches that will take place this summer.
