With so many other veteran players exiting the Etihad Stadium in masses, it seems that one big name is set to join the already impressive list of names leaving the club. Joe Hart, England’s No. 1 and the former Manchester City No. 1, looks set to leave the club to a rival English Club. Who could it be though? Everton? Liverpool? Chelsea? Manchester United? I break down exactly where I believe Hart will end up next season and what move I think would suit him best at the end of the day.
Let’s talk about why Joe is leaving. Frankly, it is because Pep thought Claudio Bravo could come in and be the savior goalkeeper needed to put City back on top. Well, if you have watched any Manchester City games this year then you know he was basically the reason City lost nearly all of their matches. Ok, that may be extreme but come on, he was horrible. So when Joe Hart was loaned out to Torino it seemed like he was gone for sure with no problems at all. Hart struggled to make a real impact in Italy and even struggled to really do much while there.

He announced that he would not be returning to Torino next season and that he preferred a permanent move compared to a loan move again next season. Now the question needs to be asked, where is Hart going to go? After some research, guessing, and frankly just where I think he fits best, I have come to my conclusion.
I believe the perfect place for Joe Hart next season is at Everton. Assuming something crazy doesn’t happen and he stays at Manchester City, I believe that Hart would make the most impact if he moved to Merseyside this summer. Everton have really struggled to find a top class GK since Tim Howard aged quickly and bolted for MLS action.

Hart could become an immediate starter for a team that he could help solidify, a GK spot that has been needing a boost for years. Hart could come into the Everton and not only start right away but push the Toffees to the next level and make the team a Europa League team right away while giving Romelu Lukaku a reason to stay at the club instead of moving a way.
Hart is England’s #1, why wouldn’t someone want to bring him in when City want to give him away? As a City fan, I would love to see Hart back in a City kit but I know that is probably never going to happen again so seeing him sold will be painful but it seems like Everton could be the club that can use him most.
